Jenkins & Son's Lawn Care is a family-owned business created by St. Louis native Charles J. Jenkins IV. A Tennessee State University graduate, Charles harnessed his education into creating a family legacy built to bolster generations to come.
What started as a part-time hobby quickly shifted into a thriving business over the past seven years and serves as an outlet. Charles' degree in psychology, years as a mentor and educator, and vast world travels gave him the edge and wherewithal to be a successful business owner.
That wherewithal was put to the test in 2024, when Jenkins & Son's took on one of the City of St. Louis's largest vacant-property maintenance programs — servicing lots for the Land Reutilization Authority across the Ward 12 and 13 corridors. What began as a single contract became a proving ground: 1,886 services completed in year one, scaling to 3,051 in year two, without missing a single rotation across three consecutive seasons.
Today, this grounds maintenance team serves the greater St. Louis area, specializing in routine grounds maintenance, property cleanup, landscape care, and snow removal — backed by the same discipline and reliability that earned the trust of one of the City's largest public-sector programs.
