Landscaping for Seniors
Summer 2020 & 2021
Yard upkeep is a hassle as adults age — to do it yourself requires mobility, physical strength, know-how, and significant time investment. Hiring help can be costly. Through our partnership with DB4E we trained local youth to maintain the older adult homes at no cost to the resident.
Building Community
It takes a village
Though this work, we saw three generations come together: contractor, youth and seniors. All coming together to help further the mission to economic empowerment and youth development.
Impact
The Future Is Bright
Though our partnership we facilitated over 100 homes being serviced. While providing over 15 youth with the opportunity to learn not just about lawn care but entrepreneurship.
